The Eight Annual convention was held in Manchester, England at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel on September 23-25, 2005. A welcome reception was held on Friday evening. Saturday's agenda included a buy/sell session, presentations, match safe quiz, show and tell,  plus an auction. Dinner and presentations of the commemorative match safe took place in the evening. The convention continued on Sunday with a business meeting and additional presentations. Two days prior to the convention, Christie's Auction held a match safe auction at their South Kensington, London facility. Later that evening, Nigel and Lynne Ross hosted a reception at their home. It provided the attendees an opportunity to view Nigel's outstanding collection. The convention was enhanced by these two added events.
